Today it was a privilege and honour to stand with local Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) campaigners outside Downing Street in order to present an invoice for £12 million, Tower Hamlets’ Council’s projected SEND budget overspend by 2022.
I am in awe of the talent, courage and dedication of pupils with special educational needs, the professionals they work with and their families,.
It is simply unacceptable that diverse needs are struggling to be met due to Tory cuts – and risks wasting such potential and possibility by hindering the unique contribution to society that every individual can make.
We will not stop until we have won!
