Poplar and Limehouse schools and early intervention services continue to face significant cuts. Parents of children with additional needs are already struggling to have their children’s learning needs met.
I stand by the Labour Party manifesto commitment to oppose academisation. It is not proper nor ethical to pursue academisation during these highly destabilising and worrying times.
I will be supporting parents and education workers to oppose these consultations on academy proposals going forward. My commitment and contribution at the East London National Education Union parent and carers meeting this week:
