Over 400 people joined the virtual rally yesterday organised by Tower Hamlets UNISON in solidarity with workers on strike, against attempts by the local council to impose a detrimental contract undermining their existing terms and conditions. Refuse collectors, not covered by strike call, refused to cross a picket line in solidarity.
